Western Oaks located in Austin

The subdivision of Western Oaks is a graceful community lined with trees, located in Southwest Austin.   Western Oaks was established in about three stages, with most of the construction taking place at the beginning of the mid to late 1970s, followed by more development in the 1980s and finally, completing its expansion between the early 1990s and 2002.  This subdivision has its own community center with swimming pool, tennis courts and playground.

It’s has great access to highways 71 and 290 West, taking you to the Hill Country and to Seton Southwest Hospital; or East to St. David’s South Austin Hospital and Austin Bergstrom International Airport; MOPAC South taking you to the Wildflower Center and to the Grey Rock Golf Course; or take MOPAC North to Downtown Austin, the University of Texas or dine at the Cheesecake Factory in the Arboretum area!

The public schools are part of the Austin Independent School District - Patton Elementary, Clint Small Middle School and Austin High School.  And if you are interested in a little higher education without having to go to Downtown Austin, the Pinnacle Campus of the Austin Community College is in close proximity.

Huntington Estates located in Buda Texas

And for the days you prefer to be at a golf course, you can take pleasure in Grey Rock, Plum Creek or Onion Creek.

Ruby Ranch located in Buda Texas

Ruby Ranch is located off Ranch Road 967 with spacious single family residences on lots covered with trees. Elliott Ranch – Buda

You still have a little time left to get the $8,000 tax incentive and you might qualify for the USDA zero money down program.  Are you looking for great neighborhood that feeds into an exemplary elementary school for your kids or due to the positive resale potential?  If so, this home in Leisurewoods is for you. 

Single story, 3 bedroom, 2 bath sitting on over a half acre.  There is a fireplace that will impress anyone coming into the home and large panes of windows letting in fantastic natural light.  We expect this home to be on the market for only a short window due to pricing, condition and location.   I assure you that if you’re thinking of looking for a home, you really need to hurry.

 The community which includes Buda and Kyle have been going through explosive growth and in the last few years they have built the Hays Family YMCA , an HEB and just opened a new Seton Family Hospital  Events like the Weiner Dog Festival (check out this video to get an idea what it is all about), the Fine Art Festival  and Firefest truly define our area.  If you’re looking for quality place to live at a reasonable price this might be the spot for you.  As I see it, Buda is an ideal setting for anyone looking for more of the small town community feel.

I might be a tad biased since I am also a Leisurewoods resident after moving here from south Austin about 3 ½ years ago.

Castlewood Forest located in South Austin - Custom Homes built in the late 60’s and early 70’s, most of them by Don West and L.A. Felder.  The highly sought after neighborhood is comprised of 295 unique homes with large lots, tree lined streets and square footage ranging from 1700 sq foot to over 3000 sq foot.

The neighborhood originally was located “in the country.” A two lane road connected I-35 to the small community.  Farm and pasture land surrrounded the neighborhood until Austin just continued to grow.  Many of the original residents were associated with Bergstrom Air Force Base.  37 years later, many of those original residents still reside within the neighborhood.
